VP2 carpet by Verner Panton, Designer Carpets

The VP2 rug, developed between 1959-1960 is entirely hand-made in pure virgin wool. The skillful combination of different color shades and geometrical shapes makes for a unique visual experience in the VP2 Verner Panton rug.

Verner Panton(1926-1998) himself is known for his novel approach to design. He is considered a pioneer in bringing Pop Art into the field of interior design. Panton began his career as a designer in Denmark after graduating at the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen. He started working at Ame Jacobsen's studio and later collaborated with some of the major Scandinavian designers. His use of unusual materials, such as plastic, and bold colors quickly established him as an avant garde trend-setter.

Verner Panton's creations are by now cult objects. The Panton Chair (1967) was the first chair to be made with printing injection using a single material and in a single piece. The futurist armchairs 'cone” and “heart” demonstrate Panton's rejection of traditional approaches to chair design.

The VP2 carpet is available in different lengths and widths as well as varying shapes (rectangular, square, round). The rug in the picture is 78.74" x 78.74" (200 x 200 cm). The design remains unchanged, unless the size requested is inferior to w. 70.87” x d. 47.24” (cm 180x 120), in which case the pattern may vary. Please contact us for more information or a quote.

Assembly Service: The delivery team will unpack the product and provide up to 45 minutes of light setup that can require basic tools (i.e. pieces will be screwed or bolted together, set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other).
Packaging: The shipper will remove and dispose of all packaging.

Delivery Instructions

Your order will be delivered by a white glove freight carrier to ensure the safest and most convenient delivery.
The following should be noted:

A white glove delivery team consists of at least two people who will be in charge of carrying your order to your home from the back of the truck. This way you don't have to worry about transporting any heavy loads yourself.
Once your order arrives in your area, a representative from the white glove carrier will call you to arrange a 4 hour window for delivery. Please note that failure to receive the order at the time previously agreed on can result in a higher fee.
You must inspect your order at the time of delivery. If there is any sign of damage on the item or if you are concerned there may be damage, please make sure you write "Product Damaged" on the sheet you are asked to sign. This ensures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to resolve the problem.
